Et voilà, c’est terminé !

La Quête d’hiver est officiellement finie– quelle fantastique première édition de ce parcours pédagogique autoguidé sur le sentier du Village-Montagne !

De mi-janvier à fin mars, les participants ont suivi les aventures de Scia, l’écureuil gris, tout en découvrant les adaptations de divers animaux pour survivre à l’hiver. Parmi les participants, ceux qui ont donné la bonne réponse au « mot mystère » ont été inscrits à un tirage au sort pour gagner un prix spécial.

Dans cette vidéo, le Parc d'environnement naturel de Sutton et Nature Nerding célèbrent la fin de la saison en annonçant le gagnant du grand prix et en exprimant nos sincères remerciements à tous ceux qui ont rendu ce projet possible.

Merci à Isabelle Charest, députée de Brome-Missisquoi à l'Assemblée nationale et l’initiative de financement « On bouge cet hiver », à la famille Kivenko pour avoir partagé leur terrain (traversé par le sentier Village-Montagne), et bien sûr à tous les Nature Nerds curieux qui ont prêté l’oreille aux récits de Scia et l’ont suivie dans sa quête hivernale.

And that’s a wrap!

The Winter Quest has officially come to a close - and what a fantastic first edition of a self-guided educational course in the Village-Montagne trail!

From mid-January to the end of March, participants followed the adventures of Scia the Grey Squirrel while learning about the strategies various animals have to survive winter. Of the folks who participated, those who submitted the correct answer to the “mystery word” were entered in a draw to win a special prize.

In this video, the Parc d’environnement naturel de Sutton and Nature Nerding are celebrating the end of the season by announcing the grand prize winner and expressing our heartfelt thanks to those who made this project possible.

Thank you to Isabelle Charest and the “On bouge cet hiver” funding initiative, to the Kivenko family for sharing their land through which the Village-Montagne trail runs, and of course to all the curious Nature Nerds out there who lent an ear to Scia’s tales and followed her on her Winter Quest.
