🎭 Meet Richard Austin, who plays Duke Frederick and Duke Senior in Coast Shakespeare’s production of As You Like It!
✨ Richard spent 10 years acting on stage and TV in the UK, and here on the Coast he has appeared in many Driftwood Players productions, including The Drawer Boy, Blithe Spirit, Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet), and Blood Relations.
📚 Richard loves Shakespeare’s mastery of language and has enjoyed the challenge of bringing both the ruthless Duke Frederick and the generous Duke Senior to life.
🎙️ Richard is also known for performing Gerard Manley Hopkins’ poetry and is beloved for his readings at the Sechelt Library.

🎭 Meet Anna Diehl, who plays Jacques in Coast Shakespeare’s production of As You Like It!✨ Anna caught the theatre bug in Grade 1 and has loved Shakespeare since high school. She is delighted to be part of this entertaining comedy, playing the philosophical Jacques—a character who thinks he is wiser than everyone else, even when others see him as a bit of a fool.
🌟 Anna earned a diploma in Acting from Vancouver Film School. Her past roles include Elsbeth in Driftwood’s Two Witches No Waiting, appearances in Story Theatre, Thelma in Will You Still Love Me in the Morning, Beth in The Dining Room, and the psychic in Séance.
🌿 When she’s not acting, Anna loves being in her garden and creating art by turning discarded objects into something beautiful.
