Well, it's been a good experience having this space that I could transform into a studio for a while. I had hoped there'd be plenty of people dropping in to get portraits done, but tbh it wasn't a great turnout; maybe the wrong time of year … maybe I need to improve my advertising/marketing skills... probably both.
Either way, learning experience I guess. As planned, I sent in a donation to the local food bank today, 1/4 of the proceeds from my time at the space. Here are some images from one of my favourite photoshoots there; one of my friends from the Sunshine Coast, Gabriel, needed actor’s headshots done. I really like the way these turned out.

A couple local friends, Nicole and Misha, dropped by the pop-up studio to act as test subjects a few days ago. It’s always a treat to photograph people who are this relaxed, casual, and playful in front of the camera. They even brought along the bokken swords they've been carving. I'd never met any Samurai on the Coast until now 🥷.

It was about this time of year (cherry blossom season) a few years back, had a great outdoor photoshoot with this lovely Jennifer, in & around Vancouver's Chinatown.

It's fun to see Vancouver like this, although I'm glad it's only about once a year ⛄️
