As the Sunshine Coast Ocean Festival enters its final weekend, today is an invitation to slow down, explore the coast, and reconnect with the ocean.

๐ŸŸ Watch Deep Sea BC and join explorer Quinn Barabash and his children as they reveal the hidden marine life and underwater worlds of the Salish Sea. From sixgill sharks and glass sponge reefs to mysterious creatures living far below the surface, it's a fascinating look at the ocean in our own backyard.

๐Ÿ–๏ธ Then head outside. Visit your favourite beach, harbour, estuary, stream, or shoreline. Watch the tide roll in. Look for birds. Search for crabs. Skip a rock. Breathe in the salt air. Spend some time with the coast.

And while you're out exploring, get ready for tomorrow's World Oceans Day Celebration at ts'uแธตw'um (Mission Point Park) in Davis Bay.

๐Ÿ›ถ Welcome the S-yewens lhems sila (Spirit of our Grandmothers) Canoe Family as they arrive by water.

๐ŸŒฟ Add a leaf to the Ocean Pledge Kelp Forest.
