Dear Sask. Brain Bee 2019 participants,
It's a little over two weeks left until the competition day (March 17, 2019, @ Saskatoon City Hospital)!
This is a perfect time to start preparing and read up!
Here are some sample questions asked at the local Brain Bees:
1. Electroconvulsive therapy is used to treat, what brain disorder? - (Answer: depression)
2. What is the smallest functional unit of the brain? - (Answer: neuron)
All questions are taken from the book:http://brain.mcmaster.ca/BrainBee/Neuroscience.Science.of.the.Brain.pdf
Each participant is allowed three strikes (wrong answers) in the process of elimination rounds. The participant with the least number of strikes wins! As simple as that!
The Grand Prize is $500 and a free round trip to the national Brain Bee Championship (and a trophy!).
Smaller cash prizes are available for 2nd and third place.
See you at the Sask. Brain Bee!
