I took this picture of Ron Dennis and his two kids. My son Garrett and I were biking just south of the 42nd street bridge and notices Ron fishing along the river bank and he appeared to have a fish. We stopped to watch him thinking it will be a smaller normal fish, and it turned out to be a 40 lb (estimate) Sturgeon. It took him about 5 minutes to get it on the river bank. He didn't have a camera, so I took a picture of him and his kids before he released the monster back into the wild. The kids appeared a little scared of the fish at first, but they both got the courage to touch the slimy fish and get their photo with it. Once in a lifetime catch I told him and kids, and they were quite happy. We all got soaked 5 minutes later as a cloud burst upon us. I thought this may be an interesting picture for the Star since this was caught with the river flows up. Photo was taken about 2:30pm Saturday June 22, 2013.
