The Food Centre is proud to collaborate with Saskatchewan Pulse Growers on the Pulse Quality Program (PQP) - a groundbreaking initiative that’s strengthening Canada’s pulse sector from farm to finished product. The PQP helps the industry understand how different varieties perform across Canada's growing environments.

This program is already making a real impact. When a client developing a lentil-based product faced a costly iron precipitation issue, our team was able to guide them using PQP’s detailed data on lentil quality across varieties, years, and regions. With that insight, they successfully reformulated for a more stable, consistent product.
