Dr. Cheryl Waldner, professor and research chair in beef cattle health, recently delivered a webinar for the Beef Cattle Research Council on the importance of water quality in beef cattle operations.

Poor water quality can increase the risk of disease, reduce weight gains in calves, and lower the number of calves on the ground — issues that can lead to economic losses for producers.

Waldner encourages producers to test their water quality more frequently.
