May 5 is the National Day of Awareness for Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and 2SLGBTQQIA+ People, also known as Red Dress Day. On this day, we honour the thousands of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, 2-spirit and gender-diverse people in Canada. Across the country, red dresses are displayed as a symbol of the lives lost.
 
Here’s how you can help make a difference:
•Share this post to help spread awareness among your friends, family and colleagues
•Read “Reclaiming Power and Place”, the final report of the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls
•Educate yourself about the challenges faced by Indigenous communities to become a better ally.
