AWESOME HUMAN ALERT #3! Okaaay, here we go, our final summer student announcement! Just like a sunny prairie afternoon, this woman is bright and energetic, and we are happy to welcome her to our team 😀
Anshruta is a third-year marketing student at the Edwards School of Business at the University of Saskatchewan and brings knowledge and experience in social media and is ready to bring her creative magic to the Foundation. Working at Saskatoon Community Foundation strongly aligns with her own values and priorities and the way she tries to live her life - ‘creating a community where everyone belongs’. She is looking forward to showcasing her skills and putting her best foot forward in everything the summer student marketing team does to help bring an exciting project to life in August.
Anshruta is someone who enjoys reading. While she likes to say she enjoys every genre to sound studious, she admits she is especially a sucker for romance novels. She also enjoys fantasy and history books. Nothing makes her happier than gloomy, rainy weather, although summer remains her favorite season. Traveling and visiting places with beautiful scenery is something she enjoys greatly and hopes to continue doing throughout her university years and beyond. She has already started pursuing that dream by visiting Paris over winter break.
Outside of academics and travel, Anshruta enjoys cooking. However, she is mostly skilled in making traditional Nepali dishes and jokes that she is not very good at cooking anything outside of that spectrum.
Welcome to the team!

AWESOME HUMAN ALERT #1!
This summer is going to be fantastic. Aside from warm weather, and winter being done 🤞 we are happy to announce that we have three new summer marketing students who have joined our team 😀
Meet Camryn. She is entering her final year of university in the fall, graduating next spring with a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in marketing.
Camryn moved to Saskatoon from Winkler, Manitoba to pursue her university studies over the last 4 years. While not originally from Saskatoon, Camryn’s parents and grandparents have lived and studied in the city, which makes Saskatoon a special place for her. She loves the heartwarming, tight community feel of Saskatoon and the prairies and is excited to be a part of the Foundation to contribute to giving back to the community.
Camryn is looking forward to helping plan and execute a special event this summer. She is excited to build meaningful relationships with people in the community and learn about their stories. In her free time Camryn loves to spend time outside, go to new coffee shops, spend time with friends and do anything crafty.

As summer approaches, we find ourselves reflecting on the devastating wildfires that impacted northern Saskatchewan last year - and on the extraordinary way communities came together in response.
In moments of crisis, people across our region stepped up with compassion, urgency, and collaboration to support displaced residents and families.
At the Saskatoon Community Foundation, we were honoured to help mobilize support when emergent needs arose, while stewarding the generosity of donors who care deeply about Saskatoon and communities across our province. Through philanthropic contributions, alongside partnerships with the City of Saskatoon - Your Local Government , the Saskatoon Fire Department and community-based organizations, we were able to help fund social, cultural, and recreational programming for evacuees during the 2025 wildfires.
We are incredibly humbled to have received a medal of recognition from the Emergency Management Office and the Saskatoon Fire Department. This recognition belongs to every person, organization, donor, volunteer, and partner who chose to show up for others during a difficult time.
It is a powerful reminder that in times of uncertainty, community matters most💙
