But seriously youguyz. I drove out to Toronto in April, just a kid with stars in her eyes and baggage in her trunk. I knew the drive out would be something (which it was), and the Toronto time would blow my mind (which it did - shoutout team 🫶).

What I was NOT expecting was the muthafugging delight that would be the drive home…!

Thanks to , , , .menei, , , and , I had booked myself a li’l mini-tour. But one of those days meant driving 12 hours through Northern Ontario. In October. On summer tires.

I was going to need help. But from who?

Queue 10:13pm EST, the Wednesday 10 days before departure. A thought pops in my head. “Maybe Jill wants to drive with me? We met once in April … surely she’d want to pay for a flight to Toronto and spend the next week locked in a small metal holding cell with me driving through Canada’s most treacherous terrain?”

Not to be one to fall victim to “thinking things through,” I immediately video messaged . She declined the call.

“Well, it was a stupid idea anyway,” I said, scuffing my shoe probably.

And just as I’m about to hide my feelings in another bag of popcorn…. I get an audio call. It’s from Jill!!!!!!!!!!!!

“I’m in the bath so I can’t do video. I know we’re friends, but we’re not quite there YET.”

AND AN ODYSSEY WAS BORN.

Look, we had a really really really good time. We also hung out with people way cooler than me, and I cannot WAIT to do it all again.

And now, back to snuggling my girl who was fiercely cared for by & ❤️❤️❤️ ugh my perimenopausal heart is beyond grateful.
