Y'know some days you just get tired because you work so hard and it feels like sometimes you're peddling backwards and tattoos are so cut throat right now. I just want to make cool art and hang with cool people, but the bills gotta get paid and money rules the world and I just despise that. I dont do art for money. I do it for an energy exchange with rad people and the feeling I get knowing people have my silly art on them for life...... thats the most fulfilling and insane thing to even imagine. And I don't want to waiver on that just to make a buck. But running a business, in this economy is insanely hard and I hope my clients and friends and family all keep supporting me as best they can so I can keep doing what I love for the people I love.

Patrick has been coming to see me since day 1. Comes in every month with the absolute coolest ideas. He is such a joy to tattoo. He camps out for a full session. Brings his pillows. Brings homemade cookies. Brings a well thought out list of movies for us to watch...... Brings me boxes of gloves lmaooooo. Just the truest peach of a client. Such a good homie.

Im astonished. Im amazed. I am sooooo happy. Fuel to the fire. I needed this energy desperately today.

Okaaay so I guess im not a failure and im not an imposter. I do belong in this community. And I am an artist. Its so hard to acknowledge that sometimes as someone who cares so much, the lil tiny mistakes in life get so big sometimes and its moments like these where you gotta take the tiny good feelings and make them even bigger.
