New Pathways Counselling
Su***de is one of the hardest deaths for us to understand because it goes against one of our most basic human instincts: the instinct to survive.
When someone dies by su***de, the grief is often layered with things that don’t accompany many other losses. The unanswered questions. The guilt. The endless replaying of conversations and moments. The wondering if there was something you could have said, something you could have done, some sign you should have seen.
We search for answers because our hearts cannot accept that someone we loved was hurting enough to leave this world.
It’s a different kind of grief. One that leaves people carrying not only the pain of the loss itself, but also the weight of the “what ifs.”
The truth is that most people who die by su***de are fighting a battle within themselves that those around them may never fully see or understand. And those left behind are often left trying to make sense of something that may never make sense.
If you’ve lost someone to su***de, please know you’re not alone in those questions. You’re not alone in the guilt. And you’re not alone in the pain. We are here to support you!
If you know anyone who may be struggling with suicidal thoughts and self harming behaviours encourage them to reach out and that someone cares for them…
Our caring team is here to help you don't hesitate to reach out...
