Little Lite Reading

My first post of the year is kinda late I know! I honestly have no idea where January went!
Today I received a book I ordered for my birthday - the 50th anniversary edition of Carrie by Stephen King - writer ! It is absolutely gorgeous! It’s hard to capture with a photo, but it is embossed with foil and just glistens! Years ago I lost all my hard cover Stephen King books to mold from flooding and I couldn’t imagine a better way to restart collecting them!

My reading journey of 2025 was pretty darn good if I do say so! For the most part, I continued reading books in a couple of different book series that I am enjoying (Harry Bosch, Alex Cross, Alex Delaware, Women’s Murder Club and Temperance Brennan). However, I did also find this year and am thoroughly enjoying devouring her books when I get my hands on them.
For the first time ever, I’ve read a few books on my phone using the . While my preference will still always be an actual book, I like the option of reading a book that is really difficult to find at a bookstore or library.
All in all, I’ve really enjoyed the journey these books have taken me on and can’t wait to see where my journeys go in 2026!

On a chilly October day, nothing beats a cozy afghan blanket, a good book and tempting Halloween chocolate 🎃🍫.
