Theory Construction

I recently completed this mudroom for our friends. They came to me with the design and wanted it located in their garage. I started off by building a new landing. This allowed for two lockers, additional storage in the corner, and a wraparound bench with shoe storage below. A bonus about the shoe storage below is that adjustable shelves were used and will come in handy as the kids grow. Everything was custom made. Furniture paint was used for a modern, sleek look and easy cleaning. The shiplap was added instead of your standard railing. This along with the shiplap in the back of the lockers, really brought everything together. I finished off the job with carpet tile. This will help keep the area clean and their feet warm in the winter. I really enjoyed completing this project for them and making their design a reality.

Prior to the home that we are living in now, my family and I lived in a much older home that was in need of some upgrades. I renovated the interior, developed the basement and revamped the backyard & front yard. Here is a picture of the front yard once everything was completed. Upgrades included replacing the shingles and siding, along with the door and windows. Front steps and planter were built. And a concrete patio was poured for a small a seating area so that we could enjoy the yard while our kids played.
