Just because you got hurt doing an exercise, it doesn’t mean it was because you did that exercise wrong
There is NO evidence that any kind of technique is either SAFER or more RISKY with ANY exercise
Its not form that got you injured… its the other factors that did

Your massage shouldn't cause you pain! Pain does not equal healing.
If your muscles are clenched, your massage therapist can't get to the root of the issue. It can actually cause more harm than good if you are fighting the treatment due to discomfort. Communicate with your practitioner if something hurts.
There are different types of massage and one is not better over another. Find the practice that works for you and ask your practitioner to adjust their pressure according to your likes and needs. 💛
