It’s hot!! 🥵
When temperatures are as hot as they are outside, it’s even worse inside a hive with 10,000+ of your sisters!🐝
To help keep internal temperatures down the bees will “beard” on the front of the hive. And leave only the necessary bees inside to do their work. 😊
This is how bees make wax!!
Similar to how we make ear wax, the bees have lands in their abdomen that produce wax. They then take the flakes of wax and mould them into their honeycomb and create everything they need to raise babies and store honey and pollen. 🐝😊
