Butter chicken fried wontons created to pair with a Western Cape South African wine:
Bush Vine Chenin Blanc
From The Winery of Good Hope.
The pop of aromatic spice and light curry with a rich creaminess stand up well to the acidity in the wine, making for a balanced pairing.
However, you don't need wine to enjoy this twist on a classic. An hors d'oeuvre that doesn't disappoint, with its crunch, bold flavour and just the right amount of richness.

While playing around with the carrot-miso dressing I am currently working on, I decided to see if it could be MORE than just a dressing.
Turns out it is also a decent consistency for a dip.
It had a moment to shine and give a flavour boost to this "Spicy salmon".
I took cold leftover roasted salmon, Greek yogurt and Sriracha sauce, and mixed them together with the dressing and some fresh apple.
Boom! I think we have a winner as a healthier alternative to mayonnaise.
