On April 22, 2022, the Ontario Government announced an extension of mask mandates in select settings until June 11, 2022. This includes health care settings, public transit, long-term care homes, retirement homes, shelters, and other congregate care settings.
CMTO considers all RMT practice settings to be health care settings for the purposes of the masking mandate. RMTs must continue to wear surgical/procedural masks and clients must be masked in the practice setting until June 11. The Chief Medical Officer of Health also announced that other directives remain in effect until June 11.
