A few weeks ago, we had the wonderful opportunity to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Indian Head Rockets and to honour two amazing players, Nat Bates and Willie Reed!

The Indian Head Rockets were a remarkable African American and Latino team that made their mark across western Canada during the 1950s, achieving significant milestones for Black and Latino athletes in sports. If you’re interested in learning more about their inspiring story, be sure to visit the fantastic exhibit at the Indian Head Museum, which showcases this incredible team.

A big shout out to the Indian Head Museum, the Saskatchewan African Canadian Heritage Museum - SACHM, the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame, and the Regina Red Sox for making this day so special.

Today, we celebrate Indigenous peoples and honour their culture, contributions, and history as the First Peoples of Canada. We are truly fortunate to have had opportunities to capture meaningful moments and heartfelt stories throughout the years.
