One key point I always tell my clients: Your content needs to connect with your audience, and the best way to do that is by removing any barriers ✨ When your audience feels like you’re really speaking their language, it’s a game-changer.

Attention! Your followers aren’t seeing your stories! 🚨🥲

Have you been told to post 6-7 times on your stories every day? You’re not alone. And while it’s important to be active on your stories, there’s a crucial step many overlook.

The rundown: Before you start posting new stories, wait a FULL 24 hours. This allows your previous day’s stories to expire. Your first story typically gets the most views, but as you keep posting, the views start to drop 👎🏼

Why does this matter? If you continue to post stories with declining views, Instagram’s algorithm takes note and stops showing your stories to your audience, resulting in lower engagement. This is especially detrimental if you’re using stories to sell!

So, what should you do? Let your stories expire after 24 hours and make your first new story super engaging! This way, Instagram will keep pushing your stories to your followers. Then, repeat the process!

📢 What’s the deal with hashtags?

There's no hashtag slander here! I truly believe in them still. Now, would I flood my captions with 20-30 hashtags like in 2015? No. But I still regularly use them because they are still relevant. They help categorize your content, connecting it to what your audience is searching for.

Think of hashtags like little labels on files in a filing cabinet. It’s the same concept here. They help to connect your content to what your audience is searching for.

How do you correctly use them? You don’t need 20-30 hashtags. Instead, I love recommending the 3x3x3 method:
1. 3 that describe who your audience is
2. 3 that are location-based
3. 3 that are product/service-based

What does this do? It helps to create keywords for your content that will help to organize and target your content to your target audience. Use these in conjunction with keywords in your caption, and you’ll have a much higher chance of your audience seeing and resonating with your posts!
