If you want to drive your old classic muscle car instead of trying to make it run reliably, then you should consider having your distributor and carburetor set up properly.
Distributor set up tests
- points and condenser( where applicable) pick up coil and reluctor, ignition module ( where applicable) and map out the advance curve.

Distributor recurve/Blueprint
-Adjusts mechanical and vacuum advance.
Note; engine baseline set up is required to establish the maximum advantage of this procedure.
