Anagram Challenges 🤩
This is a simple activity that’s great for transitions or when you need a break 😅. Divide your class into two teams and give both teams the same challenge. If you have a projector, you can display it on the whiteboard. Give the teams 10 minutes to find as many words as possible using the letters in the grid and write them on a sheet of paper. They must be discreet and whisper, or else the other team might use their words. After 10 minutes, have the teams share their words, and the teacher writes them on the board. If both teams found the same word, it’s eliminated and doesn’t score any points. The remaining words earn points for the team. Usually, we have time for two or three challenges in one period, and the students always look forward to this activity. I normally do it once a month. Give it a try, and it’ll soon become a favourite activity in your repertoire! ⭐️

Spot it! is one of my favourite vocabulary games. I’ve just finished the new food-themed game. It took me forever to draw all these images, but I like the final result! 🍋🍎🥗

It's a very rainy day… The kids spent both recesses inside. What did we do? We played Werewolves in English. 🐺 👩‍🌾

The first week at school, I explain rules, procedures, and teach my students about time management. The rest of the time, I consistently ensure they are following those rules. Why? Because it’s essential to establish a positive classroom environment and ensure students understand expectations right from the start. Not only it helps to maintain a productive learning atmosphere, but it also reduces anxiety and boosts the students’ self confidence!
