We’re Hiring! Join the WorkForce Development Team! We are currently seeking an Employment Counsellor/Case Manager to join our team at the WorkBC location in Prince George, BC.

The Employment Counsellor/Case Manager supports clients in finding and maintaining employment by providing personalized employment counselling, case management, and connections to community resources and services. Acting as the client’s primary point of contact throughout their employment journey, the role helps ensure clients receive the support they need to achieve their employment goals, with a focus on serving diverse populations and individuals facing unique barriers to employment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct client intake, assess employment needs, and connect individuals with WorkBC services.
• Provide one-on-one employment counselling to identify strengths, goals, and barriers to employment.
• Develop and support individualized Action Plans to help clients achieve sustainable employment.
• Use appropriate, client-centered approaches when working with individuals facing unique barriers.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to provide coordinated support and referrals.
• Utilizing the Ministry’s Integrated Case Management (ICM) system, responsibilities include:
• Assess client eligibility and complete needs assessments to determine appropriate services and supports.
• Develop, implement, and update client Action Plans in collaboration with clients.
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation in accordance with Ministry policies.
• Monitor client progress, provide ongoing support, and adjust services as needed.
• Connect clients with community resources, financial supports, and employment programs.

Education:
•University Degree, or diploma and experience in career development, adult education or a related discipline and/or combination of equivalent relevant education and experience
• Career Development Practitioners certification as asset
