I did a thing I never do - I reached out to someone I follow (and you should too - @ academic_aunty) on Tik Tok and asked if she'd be willing to meet me for a session. said yes and we met last night.

Penína is Secwepemc from the community Esk’etemc (First Nation) and is a PhD Candidate in Natural Resources & Environmental Studies.

I am so grateful to have spent a couple of hours learning from Penína as we walked and laughed in the rain last night.
