Prince Albert Multicultural Council

PAMC would like to honour Rebecca “Beckie” Surgenor with the SaskEnergy 2026 Champion of Volunteers award. She began as a student of our Enhanced Career Bridging Program where she excelled passing all the requirements with flying colours. Throughout the year she has been an enthusiastic volunteer, providing support and assistance in a broad range of events including Multicultural Canada Day, Tapestrama, Diversity Night, classroom sessions and more. She visits our office frequently, brightening our day with her good humour and sunny disposition. One staff member mentioned how when she visits our office, the sun comes out. She has been an invaluable member of our PAMC family. Beckie was selected through a unanimous vote to become our very first Champion of Volunteers.

What an unforgettable day it has been!

From the cultural performances and live entertainment to the laughter, dancing, delicious food, and spectacular fireworks... Today was a beautiful celebration of the many cultures that make our community SOOOO SPECIAL!!

Together, we celebrated not only Canada, but also the diversity, friendship, and sense of belonging that unite us all.
