Thanks to everyone that voted for SIU Design! It’s been 3 years since going back into business for ourselves and we couldn’t have done it without the support of so many folks in the local area and beyond. We’re looking forward to what comes next!

The RMC Foundation have been wonderful friends and clients for many years and we were absolutely delighted when asked to help redesign and build their newest website.

As an Army Brat, working with the military community is of the utmost importance to me, personally, and I was very pleased to help find solutions allowing the Foundation to continue their important work of supporting our military colleges. The new site is bilingual, features custom donation form integrations, an automated funding request system and an easier to use navigation that meets upcoming accessibility standards.

Downtown Port Hope were interested in updating the pageantry banners in the downtown core and we decided the illustrations for PortHopeOpoly would be a great new direction. The heritage colours chosen for both the game / banners worked perfectly because they already met our community’s standards and fit right in.

We had one illustration we weren’t able to include in the game originally, so we made the Port Hope Library a priority addition and hope to add more historical sites / buildings in the future. As much as we’re all staying home right now, we hope the new banners are a sign of good things to come for our little community. 😊

I'm seeing an increasing number of emails, from trusted sources, with malicious links to our work accounts. Clients are also receiving these emails and they appear to be from people you do correspond with regularly.

If you aren't sure, hovering over or clicking on the sender's name should reveal their actual email address. These emails are using the sender's name, as it usually appears, and they are including the format after these names. This is in the name field and NOT the actual sender.

IF you have accidentally clicked one of these links, contact your email service provider or IT support for your account.

We're very pleased to be working with Grief Stories to help share stories and support for those dealing with grief. Sharing stories helps us to to heal and we think their goal of helping in the community is more important than ever.

SIU helped develop a simplified brand identity and fully redesigned / built their website. We also created a custom post feed to help sort and manage their videos, podcasts and blog posts for quicker access.

This is the second time I’ve seen this scam email come through to a client. DO NOT click on the link!

Scammers are using legitimate file sharing services to trick people into following the links they send. These are trusted services but these files are most often viruses.

If you are ever unsure, check with your web host, internet provider or your web developer. This one is focused on small businesses but there are plenty of other examples for the general public.

I’m happy to look into suspicious messages and any professional in this business should be as well.
