Fender & Foreman are not impressed (& neither are we. 😿) We have received two 1 star reviews recently. 😿 So, let's talk about why.

🐾 First: Our adoption process.
The required preapplication is used for many purposes:
- To ensure the potential adoptive family meets the standards set by our rescue partners.
- To assess what type of cat the adoptive family is seeking (& what they aren't.)
- To match our current foster cats with the right forever homes.

It is NOT used:
- To hold a certain cat for adoption.
- As a guarantee of being able to adopt a certain cat.
- As final approval on adoption (This is done in person during the adoption appointment only.)

We understand it can be heartbreaking when you fall in love with a certain cat only to discover they are not the right match for your home. 💔 However, we are backed by an incredible team of rescuers & knowledgeable staff dedicated to finding the BEST FOREVER homes for these rescue cats in our care. 🏠 The needs of the cats MUST & always does come first! 😺

🐾 Second: Age restrictions in our lounge. They sometimes exist & people get upset about it.

Our catio spaces are used to allow the shyer cats or the spicier cats or the not-cat-friendly cats the space they need to thrive as best as possible in our lounge while awaiting their forever families.

For the safety of our guests & these cats, we sometimes age restrict certain areas. Again: The needs of the cats MUST always come first at Toe Beans. 😺

We understand that this may cause disappointment with some guests, but appreciate those that understand why. It is important to teach kids respect for the cats & not all cats like all people.
