This one isn’t about fishing or boating. This is about perseverance and simply showing up and trying. When he started track workouts last fall it was a chore to get him out. A knee injury took me out of the training game but he persisted in his training flanked by his mom and siblings. Four weeks post op and I wanted to simply finish. It wasn’t about time but rather ‘the moment’; and that came at the 17km mark when B passed me. Watching him fade away in the distance was overwhelming. A culmination of 21 years of so many people supporting him and here he was holding his own for 2 hours and 18 minutes covering 21.1km. A big thanks to little bro (who completed his first half) and his sister (who was injured) for showing up for B-man! So proud.

Our 2nd Annual A4A Boat & Grill with and was a huge success! Eight families were given factory tours at Kingfisher’s Center of Excellence followed by boat rides on Okanagan Lake and a BBQ lunch at Paddlewheel Park. A huge thank you to Rowdy Raber, Slim Jim, Boss Man, Mama Ice, Kay, Erin, Mike, Kevin and G for your help and support!
