My heart in children’s book form. Thank you so much for the love you’ve shared so far. Thought you might like to see a glimpse of the artwork held within these board book pages. Thank you to the author who I respect, love and adore for her ability to bring out the best in everyone and every organization she touches.

My heart and soul is poured into everything I make, and this journey is an extra special one.
I’m so proud of
for faithfully restoring this grand dame of a building!in the same way that the plaster of the original spiral staircase was revived by hand, I wanted to draw each flourish and curve of the logo by hand, to really feel alive and communicate care and craft.
Although appearing symmetrical, it was important to me that the two sides are not identical, but rather subtly unique.

It’s one thing to help co-create a new visual representation of a beautiful mission. It’s a whole other thrill to see the branding come to life in physical and digital spaces, and watch how the brand and business strengthen each other.

I’m beyond impressed with the way that the library has taken their new brand and let it revamp their physical space! And adorn their team and fans in t-shirts. From the very start it was one of our goals that an eight year old or an 80 year old alike would want to wear this new logo on a shirt!

This team of staff and board members are truly special. Of the logo, CEO Suzanne Humphrey’s said in a recent media release:

“The symbol of the book unfurling to become a butterfly is a nod to our ever-evolving services and the evolution of the format of the book itself. It also speaks to how we endeavour to spark the creativity and imagination of the community we serve.
The hands represent the caring and sharing aspect of our services which is the true foundation of all we do.”
