I wish all math was Quilt Math.
I remember learning about patterns in Grade 1 with Mrs. Rush. I loved using the colourful geometric stickers to create ABAB or AABAAB on a grid and watching different patterns evolve.
Quilting is a lot like that memory. There are so many beautiful possibilities with just a little turn of the square or the addition of a new fabric.

Quilts don’t just happen.
There’s a lot of planning involved to make just the right fabric combinations. Today was all about figuring out the Lights and Darks and creating the best contrasts.
A lot is intuitive to me… but also requires photos back and forth with my creative friends!

This quilt was STITCHED WITH L🩷VE.
A fellow Guild member showed a similar quilt that become my inspiration for the design.

Many thanks to all my Quilty friends who sifted through photo after photo with suggestions on colour layout (you know who you are 😉)

I’m chasing sunlight today to get some SOCK photos.
This Bearfoot sock yarn from is a new one for me and I am thrilled with the results.
This yarn is 60% Superwash Wool, 25% Mohair, 15% Nylon. The added mohair gives a nice halo as seen in the close up photo.
These socks will be a great addition to your Fall/Winter sock line up.
