It was the Almonte Fair this past weekend. I entered three items and came away with three 1st place ribbons! A dining table runner with a fish motif; a shirt made with fabric I had brought back with me from Tanzania; and my peacock coat/hat rack (now hanging in the front hall): as you walk past it, its eye glints at you. Fairs are always fun!

Yesterday I gave a presentation at the Carleton Place and Beckwith Heritage Museum on the subject of 1920s fashions, under the title "The Bee's Knees".

​I enjoyed researching the subject and I hope everyone enjoyed the presentation. It had been rescheduled from May 11 due to completion of the museum renovation work.

This lovely certificate from the 2022 Eastern Ontario Drama League One-Act Play Festival arrived recently. In the meantime, last month I also won the 2023 award, this time for my costuming of "Whistler's Mother". It's always great fun and a good challenge.

I created this dress as a copy of the "Woman in White" portrait associated with the play "Whistler's Mother". This play ran at the Studio Theatre, Perth last October.
