Construction is progressing rapidly, and soon these dignified spaces will be filled with 15 local families and individuals.

Alongsiders are individuals who commit to offering mentorship and connection to a resident. By walking alongside them through the transitions of moving into their new home, you directly help foster the connection that leads to long-term stability.

We aren't just looking for donors or construction crews; we are looking for supportive neighbours.

We are seeking compassionate community members to join our Alongsiders program. This isn’t a mentorship role requiring professional counselling experience or a massive time commitment. It is simply about the power of walking alongside another person.

As an Alongsider, you offer mentorship and genuine connection to a new resident, helping them foster the long-term stability necessary to thrive. You can provide a friendly face, a listening ear, or someone to celebrate victories with as they settle into their new environment.

Over the last couple of weeks, our community has stepped up once again, bringing in a wonderful $5,025 in new donations toward our "Home Stretch" campaign! Every single dollar moves that progress bar a little bit closer to the finish line, and we are so grateful to everyone who has pitched in to help us bridge the final $144,975 gap.

Seeing that bar fill up isn't just about numbers; it represents future doors opening, keys being handed over, and 15 local families gaining a safe, comfortable and affordable place to call home this fall.

Now that the building envelope is fully enclosed, stepping inside gives you a real sense of the spaces we are creating. The framing is up, the rough-ins are moving right along, and you can officially stand in what will soon be bright, beautiful living rooms and kitchens for 15 local families.

Every stud, wire, and ray of sunshine in this space represents a fresh start and a foundation for a better life. Our crews from Saumure Construction are making incredible use of the ideal spring weather to power through this interior phase.
