One of our (many) projects this spring was building a mobile coop, which was our chickens' home for the summer and fall 🐔. We repurposed some old running gear and built in a mesh floor for their droppings to fall through to the grass, letting us pull it around the yard and fields, fertilize as we go, and encourage the chickens to explore new grass as they free range 🌱.
We built our flock up throughout the summer and now have a steady supply of eggs 🥚- send us a message if interested!

Reflecting on all we have to be thankful for this beautiful fall weekend - a place we love, doing what we love, with the people and animals we love ! So thankful for our friends and family who support us along this adventure 💗

A couple ducks joined us this spring 🦆
they love their new home their duck dad built 🛖, their chicken friends 🐥, quacking at everything, and splashing around making mud 💦
