Each year, trained volunteers help low- and moderate-income community members prepare and file their income tax returns through the Volunteer Income Tax Program run by ConnectWell, in partnership with the Canada Revenue Agency.

Did you know that filing income tax is essential to receive benefits such as GST/HST credits, the Child Tax Benefit, and others? If you or someone you know could benefit from assistance with filing a return, help is available year-round. Visit their website for more information at www.connectwell.ca/volunteer-income-tax-program/

Thanks to a PDCF Community Grant, the Dalhousie Library & Museum will continue the restoration of their collection of historic books dating back to the 1700s. This unique collection provides insight into the life of early Scottish settlers in the Watson’s Corners area.

The museum is now open for the summer season: Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 11am-4pm. Their collection covers 200 years of history of Watson's Corners and Dalhousie Township. Drop in to discover the history in your backyard.
