This past weekend, we were so happy to welcome Agnes, who made the trip to join us, along with enthusiastic basket makers from near and far. There were over half a dozen materials to choose from, and every single Fairy Basket had its own personal touch. All sweet as can be.

Some imagined using them to pick wild berries, hold their rock collections, teach their grandchildren, or teach at forest school. Everyone left with at least one basket, if not more!

Thank you to everyone who joined us and who are so enthusiastic about this craft. You made it a very memorable day!

One participant shared...

'Although I have made baskets in the past, I have forgotten much, remembered some, and learned much. It was lovely, the company was great, and it was truly a day to treasure!'

More basketry workshops are coming this season, with different materials and methods. We would love to have you join us. https://www.lanarkhighlandsbasketrymuseum.ca/learn

Had an incredible day with the Saplings! Their interest in baskets and weaving meant the morning flew by. Thanks for the warm welcome and looking forward to seeing you later this month

Dancing under and by these grandmother willow trees on a day that celebrates mothers, was medicine for my soul. A reminder of that Mother Earth, Mother Nature nurtures us all. She is the great mother and can be celebrated no matter what your relationship to this day may be. 💚

Celebrating the nurturer in all of us! 🌺
