Snow is in the forecast for next week – and our clearing crews are ready. Are you? Here are some reminders:

❄️ Roads are cleared on a priority basis.

❄️ The Good Neighbour Bylaw requires you to clear all sidewalks adjoining the property before 11 am on the morning after a snowfall. This includes the sidewalk at the transit stops if you have one in front of your property.

❄️ Remember when shovelling your driveway to pile the snow on the left side of the driveway (facing the property), so when plows go by, they won’t drag the piles back into your driveway entrance.

❄️ It’s always a good idea to clear any catch basins near your home to prevent flooding, and remove snow away from fire hydrants to make them accessible and visible to fire crews.
