Struggling with making that impact with your bookcases and decor? Read on for some tips to styling all those books of yours.

These clients of ours were avid readers and book collectors and wanted as much of their books on display as possible. While you may see some beautifully curated bookshelves with just a few books and some decor items, don’t be afraid to swing the pendulum the other way and stuff those shelves with your collection.

- Mix heights and shapes
- Layer and stack items for extra depth
- Group in odd numbers to keep things interesting
- Add in texture - wood, ceramics, greenery, vintage items etc.
- Flip the books - put some books in with the spine to the back of the bookcase to bring in added texture
- Remove the book sleeves - the hardcover is usually perfect on display without the sleeve
- Add in your own personal touch - add your own meaningful items - heirlooms, souvenirs, photos etc.
- Turn on some tunes, lay everything out, grab a coffee and just have fun with it!
