People of Parry Sound - John Tuck and a Lifetime of Fire Prevention in Parry Sound

For decades, John Tuck has been helping make Parry Sound a safer place.

Many people know him as a Fire Prevention Officer and Captain with the Parry Sound Fire Department. Others know him as a mentor, neighbour, friend, community volunteer, or simply "Tucky."

As part of the People of Parry Sound Project, I had the opportunity to sit down with John, hear his stories, and collect reflections from family, friends, colleagues, and community members whose lives he has touched over the years.

The result is a story about service, prevention, mentorship, community, and the quiet ways one person can shape a town over time.
