I’ve always believed that stories reach places that instructions never can.

When I reflect on the Qur’an, one thing stands out clearly to me:
Allah didn’t teach us only through commands, but through stories of real people, real struggles, and real choices. Stories that make you pause, think, and sometimes see yourself inside them.

“We relate to you the best of stories through what We have revealed to you of this Qur’an.” (12:3)

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ understood this deeply.
He didn’t just tell people what to do — he shared stories. Simple ones. Human ones. Stories that made listeners lean in, reflect, and remember.

He spoke in a way that:
• respected people’s attention
• matched their reality
• and stayed with them long after the moment passed

As a teacher and lifelong learner, this reminds me that how we deliver a message matters as much as the message itself.

If we want hearts to open, not just ears,
maybe we should tell more stories…
the way the Qur’an does.
