At the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine, body donors are known as our "silent teachers"; individuals who help shape the next generation of physicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals through one final act of generosity.

Through their generosity, students gain more than anatomical knowledge. They learn lessons in compassion, empathy, professionalism, and respect that stay with them throughout their careers.

On June 30, our Faculty will gather to honour these remarkable donors and their families during our annual memorial service. As a tribute to their lasting impact on medical education, the flags on the Faculty of Medicine campus will be flown at half-mast throughout the day.

We extend our deepest gratitude to all body donors and their loved ones for this extraordinary gift. Their legacy lives through every learner they inspire and every patient they help us serve. 🕊️
