Excited to hear one of my living musical mentors, the amazing Mr. Geoffrey Keezer. It’s been too long since I last heard him in Winnipeg! Whenever ‘Keez’ would come through Toronto, I would always go and check out the shows - on multiple nights throughout the usual week-long runs. Those were his days with some of the ‘elders’ of jazz like The Ray Brown Trio, and Art Farmer Quintet, and many others.

This show, part of the Ottawa Jazz Festival also features his wife, the wonderful Gillian Margot McMillan who I’ve also know for many years from Toronto! This is gonna be sooo good, and musically inspirational! 🎶🎵🎹🎤
