Rich Connections

Hi, everyone!

Rich Connections popped up for me today, when someone viewed the page.

So, after AGES of no posts, here is an update for Stacey Kirkpatrick and myself, as I have a little time on my hands this a.m. Serge and I are headed to Spa Nordik tomorrow, (a gift from our daughter and our SIL), for our 31st Wedding Anniversary. Whoo-hoo! We have both taken off Thursday, too, to rest, thank goodness.

Stacey has written a book, which will be published this year, over and above seeing many clients. I shall leave her to update you with the details when the book drops. Very exciting!

We are still close office neighbours in Kanata Office Centre and it'll be 5 years since we first moved in! I share mine with Yolande Herbst of Pure Consciousness, a fantastic pairing of 2 Brit- influenced South Africans. Very quirky, indeed! Yolande has had our office Feng-shui'd again and we are now the proud parents of a Beta fish called Lady Camden from the Ru Paul show. I call her Foo Fighter.

Stacey, Yolande and I keep in touch and we are overdue for a lunch check in. We have welcomed more and more Psychotherapists and Psychologists to our premises and we work very collaboratively. Soon, we will be able to resume our monthly in person meetings in our Boardroom. We can also get together at the Bistro downstairs at Head Office.

We founded our FB group, Kanata Carleton Therapist Network, which has over 100 members now and I have 165 plus active clients, some having a "top up" of Hypnotherapy a couple of times per year and others wanting to book me throughout the whole year. I am still mindful of my own Self-care, though.

A HUGE shout out to my amazing clients, who always send me referrals through word-of-mouth. I do not advertise, but I still keep my Psychology Today listing as a Verified Practitioner, which really helps with insurance companies.

The last couple of years have been challenging to all of us, as we are bombarded with all sorts of situations that you could not even make up! So many of us are finding that 2022 is challenging us on all levels, as we grow rapidly from it all. We are not only coping with our Selves, but with family members going through Mind, Body and Spirit issues, too.

We are Holding the Space and Shining our Light. Universe sent my family the greatest gift of all: our first grandchild. Ecstatic does not even cover our feelings. We are thrilled that he is such a happy, hilarious character, over 1 year old already, who stays over with Granny Fifi and Grandpapa on weekends.

My heart is full to overflowing, with gratitude.

Hi, everyone! It's been an amazing time business - wise! Growing and growing, as word spreads. We both wanted our names attached to our businesses, as that is far more effective, so we did that. Stacey has her office next to mine and my intern, Yolande, is planning on taking the other office next to mine. We envision a team of therapists working in that whole, quieter section of
Kanata Office Centre, in a very co - operative manner.
Our volume has increased, so we all use OWL Practice, a welcome electronic system, specially designed for therapists. It's so much fun to use, too and it saves us lots of time. Automated appointment times, invoices and receipts go out to clients and it's PHIPA safety / confidentiality approved.
The FB group I founded, Kanata Carleton Therapist Network is coming along, with around 55 members already and I am taking on two more Registered Psychotherapist Qualifying interns within the next few months.
