BREAKING:LDEA Withholds Names of 6 Airport Drug Suspects

The LDEA says six people arrested over a drug seizure at Roberts International Airport are in custody, but their names have not been released.

The agency says it is holding back the names because the investigation is still ongoing and officers are gathering more evidence.

LDEA says it will share more information as the case continues.

🚨 Senator Thomas Yaya Nimely has spoken out on the presence of Burkinabè nationals and other related issues in Grand Gedeh County.

According to the senator, many of these individuals are in Liberia mainly for business activities and are not expected to return to Burkina Faso. He added that discussions are ongoing to regularize their stay by securing work permits, allowing them to legally live and work in the country.

Senator Nimely further revealed that immigration authorities estimate around 60,000 Burkinabè nationals are currently residing in Grand Gedeh County.

The issue continues to spark conversations around migration, labor, and national regulation as authorities look for long-term solutions.
