First Step Men's Therapy

The World Cup is about so much more than soccer.

Watching thousands of people celebrate, embrace, and even cry reminded me of something as a therapist.

Men don’t lack emotion.

Often, they lack places where it’s safe to express it.

For 90 minutes, it’s completely acceptable to celebrate, grieve, hug your friends, and feel connected to something bigger than yourself. Nobody questions it.

Imagine if we created more spaces where men felt that same permission outside of sport.

Not just every four years.
Every day.
