Consider this. Neglecting to imagine and plan for what could go wrong is ~causing~ your negative thinking. It’s why you don’t fully trust yourself.
You imagine the worst case scenario and get consumed by it because you don’t know how you’d respond. So you avoid thinking about it.
Coincidently, this causes more negative thinking because your mind wants to think about it. Your mind wants to prepare for the worst case.
So give your mind what it wants. Imagine what could go wrong and plan the best way you could respond. Give your mind a reason to trust itself.
The problem isn’t that you doubt yourself.
Self-doubt is normal. Everyone experiences it.
The problem is you don’t give yourself reassurance when the doubts arise.
Next time you experience self-doubt, be aware of it and simply remind yourself of why you deserve to be where you are.
Be an elastic.
