Around a Protection Island Table is a cookbook that celebrates community. Inside you'll discover an eclectic mix of menus and stories from as far away as Iceland & the Middle East to BC's West Coast . All of the 100+ recipes were collected, cooked and organized into menus by Thora Howell in her cozy kitchen on Protection Island.
Also, many local residents will remember Thora & her husband Jerry as the long time owners of the legendary Nanaimo book store, Bastion Books.
All proceeds from the sale of Thora's book will be donated to the Protection Island Lions Club.
