Ok hive mind 🐝 🙏
I need help. My seeding greenhouse is under rodent attack… hundreds of dollars worth of seedlings are being dug up and eaten 😓😭😭
As a small business and mom of two this feels SO devastating, on so many levels!
I have a 14x30 wood frame, plastic greenhouse.
I start trapping in January well before I start to seed. I always catch mice and rats 🐀.
It’s not obvious where they are getting in..
I have LOTS of traps set, bright lights on, a strobe light and the radio playing. This isn’t enough.
I’ve resorted to covering each flat with another flat and that helps but every morning first thing and at night I cover and uncover the seedlings. It feels like so much extra work….as there is lots of babies to try keep safe. Last night they came back!! I lost 50 4 inch pots of peppers (all I had left as they ate my other 70 😭) and flats of brassicas!!
I feel so sad and defeated by this experience. I’m putting one foot in front the other, but I cant run a nursery business like this.
What do other growers do? 💚
Does anyone have any solutions? 💚 ideas ? 💚
I mean I guess getting cats 🐈‍⬛?

$8 pots of Monarda Didyma ( Beebalm), Garlic chives, Catnip, Lemon balm, Motherwort and Horse radish 🌞
$15 2 year old Goji Berries, Green grapes, Cascade berries and Black currents:)

The heat wave is here and so are some of our heat lovers..We’ve re stocked our stand for Mother’s Day weekend 🥰🌱🍅
We are located in Yellow Point. 3920 Yellow Point Rd. The stand is located just off of Yellow Point Rd across from Barney Rd. Open 10am -7 pm. We will be open 7 days a week until the plants have found homes:) TOMATOES 🍅 are in 4 inch pots, hardened off and are $5. We have : Black Cherry, Yellow Pear, Gardeners Delight, Purple Bumblebee, Pink Bumblebee, Black Krim, Red Zebra, Moneymaker and Amish Paste. 🍅 We will have 6 packs for $5 of fully hardened off and ready to plant: Chamomile, Hesperis, Cosmos mix, Strawflowers, Snap Dragons, Zinnias, Chard, Calabrese Broccoli 🥦 , Tiara Cabbage, Red Russian Kale, Vates Kale, Arugula, Jerusalem Artichokes, Scarlet Runner Beans, Genovese Basil, and Tree onions $6. Strawberries bare root 10 for $10. We also have Josta Berries, Tayberries and Black Currents in 3 gallon pots for $15. Its pay at the stand honour system or E transfer.
