Sugar shack attack! 🍁 Palace à Sucre was a one-time long lunch collaboration between and that I will not be getting over anytime soon.

On the menu: pea soup and grilled cheese buried under truffles. Buckwheat galette with foie gras. Hot-smoked salmon with onion rings. Peppered pork loin with bone marrow. Maple tart with cotton candy to close.

The best possible way to say goodbye to sugar shack season. Until next year! 🐷

Locals have long known that some of the most exciting dining in Ontario lives in the Niagara Benchlands and St. Catharines. Now, we’re diving in!

In this episode, we highlight Cafe Pique-Nique, a neighbourhood favourite that has become a destination in its own right. Equal parts cafe, bakery, and wine bar (with a list comprised entirely of female producers), this is the spot to visit for quality bites, sips, and a feeling of home.

Part of a new series exploring the restaurants, breweries, cafés, and dining rooms shaping the region’s proudly local Niagara terroir.
