Two impactful and heartwarming statements from today’s sessions:
 
Mr. Selwin Hart, Special Advisor to the Secretary-General on Climate Action and Just Transition, observed the following: “In this race to net zero, we cannot declare victory when those with the greatest capacity and the greatest capabilities cross the finish line. We can only declare it when we all cross the finish line.”
 
Mr. Dennis Francis, President of General Assembly, in his opening remark this morning: “By embedding the true spirit of leaving no one behind, we can transform our societies to be less fragile against the shock of tomorrow.”
